RYAN TOWNSEND

Ryan Townsend is a singing guitarist and songwriter from Nyack, New York. The consummate professional, who will set the perfect atmosphere, and have the crowd raving about his voice and music. His beautifully gritty sound has echoed through his various solo and collaborative accomplishments, as he’s brought his acoustic-driven, alternative blend of roots rock to a loyal and ever-growing fan base over the past 15 years.

Booking Ryan is like having a live jukebox. His catalog of cover music (featuring over 600 songs) spans the decades to include Rock, Pop, Soul, Alternative, & Country. Old school favorites to contemporary hits. His performances are fun and can connect with audiences of all ages. Spirited guitar work and a uniquely fervent voice are what make Ryan’s music truly his own.

He commonly performs solo but for larger events he can also be booked as a band, anywhere from 2 - 8 pieces. Other lineups typically include adding drums, piano, bass, female vocals, cello, saxophone, or second guitar.

In addition to performing, Townsend is also an accomplished songwriter. His original music has been featured in the Lionsgate feature film Living Will, and on commercials for PBR on NBC Sports Network. He’s released original music with producer/engineer John Siket (Phish, Dave Matthews Band) and has shared the stage with national acts like Donna Jean Godchaeux (Grateful Dead), Questlove (the Roots), Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic), and Leo Nocentelli (The Meters). As well as comedians Amy Schumer, Rosie O’Donnell, and Pauly Shore.
